CAROLINA'S AND AARON'S BABY TO BE

Carolina and Aaron recently went for an ultrasound to find out if their precious little baby to be will be a boy or girl. As you can see from the pictures, they were thrilled to find out they were having a little precious baby boy. They bought their baby room furniture and will send pictures when all fixed up. Both sets of grandparents can hardly wait for this joyous occasion.

FUN IN THE SNOW

Stephen, Chantel, Jackson and Grayson had a fun weekend in a cabin in Flagstaff, Arizona where they enjoyed lots and lots of snow! Chantel's sister and family also went with them. As you can see from the pictures, everyone had a ball. They had one of the biggest snowstorms Flagstaff had gotten in quite some time. Who says Arizona is just desert and cactus?

Oh, We were so close! ! !

Yes, I'm still a little down that our Arizona Cardinals lost the Super Bowl. My mommy even made me this shirt for the big game. Oh well, there's always next year, I guess!

Maybe she'll notice me now!

Jackson getting ready for the big game. Just like the final score, it was a close shave!
Grayson looks like he might be getting into something too!

CABELA'S FUN DAY

A week ago Saturday we took Jackson and Grayson to Cabela's Sporting Goods Store. It is a huge store that also has alot of fun things for kids. As you can see, they have huge displays of animals and a gigantic fish aquairum. We spent several hours there. The boys had a ball. Grandma, of course, spoiled them with a few toys. Then we went to the Cracker Barrel for lunch. It was a fun day for Grandma and Grandpa with their two sweet grandsons!

MOMMY AND DADDY! "I'M HOME"

Oh, it's so beautiful. I didn't know what was happening. I was afraid. Then I woke up and was being held tightly in such comforting arms. Then I heard the most beautiful voice say, "Christian Covenant Kruse, my precious child, enter into the joy of the Lord" Oh Mommy and Daddy, did I tell you how beautiful it is here? God is so beautiful! He is explaining to me how he is the creator of everything. He told me he created all of the heavens and earth and all that has breath. God told me he has a plan for everything that he does, but he knows it is very difficult for us to understand. Oh, Mommy and Daddy, please don't worry about me. God says he brought me here for a reason. He said I was special. Did you hear that Mommy and Daddy? I'm special and he has a plan for me. Please, Mommy and Daddy, can I stay here? Did I tell you how beautiful it is? I see every color of the rainbow. I hear such beautiful music. I see tens of thousands of angels. I can see forever. I see such a bright light from afar. It has a beautiful radianace and seems to be getting closer. God told me not to be afraid. He said that he is with me. God says that many have come before me. They are all precious souls who tried to be obedient to God while on earth. But I asked God, Why me? He said, my precious child, you will soon see the reason why I brought you here. Oh, Mommy and Daddy, did I tell you how beautiful it is here? That glowing light, it seems to be getting closer and closer. God told me again, do not be afraid. I can see forever. There are fountains flowing everywhere and there is music and singing. Oh please, Mommy and Daddy, can I stay here? That glowing light is now so close. Please God, tell me my purpose in heaven. My dear precious child, I have brought you here for a very special reason. Don't be afraid. That beautiful light, it is upon us now. It has a radiance of gold, silver and all of the the colors of the rainbow. It's so beautiful. I see angels. I see two angels with their arms extended towards me. Do not be afraid, my child. These are two of my most precious angels. They were your Mommy's Grandpa and Grandma. They were known on earth as Grandpa Great and Grandma Great. They were so full of love for their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. It was time for them to enter heaven, but they did so with a heavy heart because of the loved ones they knew they were leaving behind. My dear precious child, do you understand now why you are here. I think I do. Oh Mommy and Daddy, can I stay here? Can I please be their great grandchild in heaven, please. I think they need me as much as I need them. Oh, Grandma Great just picked me up and is holding me so tight in her arms. Grandpa Great is now holding me. I already feel so loved. They make me feel so special. Oh, I love it here. I think Grandma Great is singing to me but I don't hear any words. Oh, Grandma Great just whispered to me that she is humming. Grandpa Great is so funny. Oh, Mommy and Daddy, please can I stay? They said that they will watch over me until you get here. They seem so happy now. I know I'm supposed to be here. God says that you will talk to me every day through prayer. I love you both so much. Oh, Mommy and Daddy, I'm Home!

SWEET CAROLINA, AARON & BABY TO BE

Here are some pictures of our beautiful daughter-in-law, Carolina and our son, Aaron. They are so excited about their first new little bundle of joy that should be arriving around June 18th. They have been out and about shopping for baby clothes and decorating the baby's room. Does that sound like fun or what? We love you both so much and can hardly wait for the arrival of our third grandchild. Something tells me that Lindsay's and Ginger's antiquing days will be changing to shopping for baby clothes.

BOB'S MUSIC IS ON THE BLOG

Finally, I can now put my music on my blog. Hooray!! Thank you to my sisters for nudging me along to get it done. Travis showed my how to record my music. Aaron got it on my playlist, which was not easy. He will still have to work with me to get other songs up and running. When you search for songs, just enter Bob Thorp and my songs will show up. Pretty neat, huh?

ARIZONA CARDINALS WIN AGAIN!!!

Yeah - Big Red. The Cardinals clobbered the Panthers Saturday night. John and Ginger came over to watch the game with us. What fun! Ginger was so loud it was embarrassing! After they left, we noticed that half of our glasses were broken from her loud, shrill screaming. Our poor dog, Dora walks around now half scared if anyone makes a sound. How does John put up with it? Grin, Grin!! This Sunday the Cards play the Eagles for the NFC championship here at Glendale, Arizona. So if any of you Oregonians feel the earth quake next Sunday, it's Ginger jumping up and down. GO CARDS!!!

CHRISTMAS 2008

MERRY CHRISTMAS! We celebrated Chistmas with Stephen, Chantel, Jackson and Grayson before they left on their trip to California to be with Chantel's Dad, Mom and family. As you can see from the pictures, we all had a great time. As great a joy as it is having your own children, there is just something special about being grandparents. Jackson and Grayson are the love of our lives. And in just six months, our dear Aaron and Carolina will be bringing another blessing into our lives with the birth of their first child. Even though we celebrate with Christmas lights, Santa and gifts, we are blessed to know the true meaning of Christmas as we celebrate Jesus' Birthday. As 2008 comes to a close, we thank all of you for being a part of our family and we wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year.

"AARON'S HAVING A BABY" OOPS! "CAROLINA'S HAVING A BABY"

"Yeah," Aaron and Carolina are going to have a baby! Aaron called us last night with the great news. Now it's more probable than ever that Bob and Lindsay will pass Dottie up for the largest number of grandchildren. First, we have to pass up Ginger. "No problem." We'll let you all know when the due date is. "Congratulations Aaron and Carolina." We love you both so much.

AN EVENING WITH "THE LETTERMEN'

Wow! What a night we had last night going to see "The Lettermen" in concert. I know, a lot of you don't even know who they are, but Lindsay and I have fond memories of their music. It was about 38 years ago when Bob was trying to get enough nerve up to call Lindsay to go out on a date. He finally called her and she asked him if he wanted to come over and listen to some records. She said she had a lot of the Lettermen records and, well, the rest is history. This was the best concert we've ever been to in our lives. We got to meet them personally, and yes, shy little Lindsay actually got to go up on stage with them!

A CHILD'S PRAYER

Chantel shared with us a bedtime prayer that Jackson prayed the other night. He prayed for his Mom and Dad and for his Grandmas and Grandpas. Then out of the clear blue, he asked God to make "Grandpa Great" a little boy again. It reminds us what a remarkable impact "Grandpa Great" had on not only us but with all of his treasured great grandchildren.

OKAY, I'M BACK

By popular demand, I'll start posting again. Tami and Ginger have dropped hints for me to get on the stick. My posts were so stale, that Vickie went in and posted for me. I'll start off with a video of one of the cutest kids I know (I'm not proud or anything). Below is Jackson Robert Thorp, the next "American Idol"
I'll update my pictures and follow with more posts shortly.

"IT'S A GIRL"

Bob and Lindsay would like to announce the adoption of "Sadie", our brand new beautiful 7 month old baby girl. She weighs 32lb.s, 4 oz. We rescued her from the Arizona Humane Society where her owners left her because they were moving. Hope they didn't have kids and do the same thing with them. She already knows how to jump up on the furniture and go to the bathroom on the floor. Oh well, we'll work on that. Dottie?, Does this count as another grandchild for us? We're catching up with you!
